Where do Fruitarians get their Proteins from?
As a fruitarian, it is important to know where proteins come from and how much a person should eat. So I thought its an excellent idea to write an article on this topic.
Firstly lets examine a protein. What is a protein exactly?
- Proteins are organic nitrogen-containing compounds called polymers made up of amino acids arranged in a linear chain and folded into a globular form.
- Proteins can be classified as complete or incomplete according to there genetic make up of amino acids.
- Proteins are complete when they have the right amount of 8 essential amino acids within its structure, else its incomplete.
- Amino acids are joined via peptide bonds.
- Proteins form the major components of muscles, skin, tendons, blood vessels, hair and cores of bones and teeth.
- They function as enzymes which generates energy in your body, hormones, immunoglobulins, signaling molecules or structural components like hair or fingernails and materials like body tissue. They build up, keep up and replaces tissues in your body.
- Proteins also make antibodies and hemoglobin which carries oxygen in the bloodstream.
- Every protein is uniquely defined by its amino acid structure.
- Protein is a macro nutrient.
- There are more than 50,000 different proteins in our human bodies which are all made up from +-22 different amino acids.
- To make it simple: The alphabet consists of letters from A to Z. Just so a protein consists of different amino acids.
Here are pictures of proteins. Take a careful look at its structure. They are solid structures, not loose entities. They are composed of different elements called amino acids.

Secondly, lets examine what are Amino Acids exactly?
- Amino acids are three dimensional molecules or building blocks of protein and of all the cells in our human bodies.
- They are the compounds or structures necessary for forming a protein structure.
- Some amino acids are produced by the body, others not.
- They consist of carbon, nitrogen and oxygen.
- Complete amino acids have many functions in metabolism, maintaining life, nutrition, reproduction and growth.
- Incomplete amino acids do not support normal growth, but can maintain life.
- There are 22 main amino acids for human functioning.
- There are essential amino acids and non-essential amino acids.
- The essential amino acids are: tryptophan, valine, leucine, isoleucine, methionine, phenylalaline, threonine and lysine.
- The non essential amino acids are: alanine, asparagin, aspartic acid, ceisteine, glutamic acid, glutamine, glysine, proline, celenocysteine, serine, tyrosine, arginine, histidine.
Here are pictures of amino acids. Note how they differ from protein structures above. They are basic, non-complicated building block type of structures:

Did you see the difference in the structures of proteins and amino acids? It is simple to understand.
Important points:
Important points:
- All fruits contain amino acids.
- Goji berries are amongst the most nutrition dense fruits on earth. It contains all the essential amino acids and almost all the non-essential amino acids. In total it contains 18 amino acids.
- When following a 100% raw fruit diet, you will absorb all the required essential amino-acids your body needs.
- Proteins are composed of amino acids. If these proteins lack one of the essential amino-acids, your body will not be able to use it for construction purposes. Therefore; its quite logical that what our bodies require to function properly is not proteins, but amino-acids.
- Eat a variety of fruits, and make sure you get enough sweet juicy fruits. Ensure you are getting enough calories. That way you will get the right amount of amino acids you need. Check out this site: http://www.nutridiary.com/ to help you determine your bodies daily calorie intake.
- What is important to note is that the meat industry is marketing their flesh products - that is why we are all brainwashed in thinking that only meat can supply us with the required daily intake of protein. Remember when you were a child at school they used to show you this board with a the food pyramid? Go and check who sponsors those charts. The flesh industry.
- Another thing to notice that is important is that mothers milk contain just the right amount of protein. Round about 1.1gram protein per 100ml. That is very close to the protein content of fruits. Infants require proteins to grow, their protein requirements are at maximum, higher than in any other stage of the human life. The reality is that the older you get the less protein you need. Again we are all being brainwashed into thinking that the older we get - the more protein we need. We only need a small amount of protein to sustain us. We cannot possibly need more proteins than infants who are their highest need of protein.
- Fruits and their protein content is 95% similar to that of mothers milk. Obviously it shows that fruits are ideal for sustaining the human life. Also fruits contain 75% or more water. That is very similar to cells, blood and muscle tissue within the human body which also contains more or less the same amount of water.
- Like in the time of Eden. You can't improve on Gods original dietary plan for mankind anyway. Fruits are ideal.
- The next important issue to note is the quality of protein. Once again all of us have been brainwashed in thinking that meat protein is of higher quality than plant protein. You need to realize that it is not the food that contains the highest amount protein that has the best quality of protein for your body. The whole nutritional properties of the food should also be taken into account.
- Meat for instance contains a lot of bad cholesterol and bad fats- where fruit does not. Meat only contains B12, iron, selenium, phosphorus, niacin, B6, ribovlafin and vitamin k2. It does not contain the other mineral elements or important life critical vitamins. Fruits contain everything. B12 is an exception because it is not an element but it is a vitamin whose structure can only be made via bacteria. If your fruits are organically and naturally grown/ripened - the B12 will not be destroyed by all the pesticides / refrigerators etc. Fruits are beautiful as they contain all the vitamins, minerals, salts and amino acids we need to sustain our bodies.
- So to get back to the quality of protein; when you bake an egg - what happens? or when you cook an egg for longer than 10 minutes? the protein quality changes. The structure is so that the body is unable to digest this protein. Why? Because temperature destroys the original protein structure. So it is really pointless in defending the great protein structures in meat, eggs and other dairy products if a person is not even eating it raw. Also when applying heat, all the other nutrients within the food is destroyed. That makes your food: PROTEIN AND NUTRIENT DEPRIVED. Do not wonder why there are so many statistics on protein deficiency or malnutrition for people who actually eat meat and are perceived to get "enough" proteins. Then again it seems to me some people are getting WAYYY to much protein, it shows off in their swimwear.

- Eating raw fruits you will never have this problem of malnutrition like the flesh industry would love you to think.
- Remember one thing. In life we have all been brainwashed. If they can brainwash you with religion and you realize that you have been fooled - how do you trust the meat industry who are in it for the love of money and not for the love of your health - if you cannot even trust religious people, how are you to trust money makers?
- Advice: Read!!! Study!!!and think!!! Think for yourself. Do not let people fool you again.
Please view these two videos, they will get you thinking♥
